Day 1 (Sunday, Nov 9)
Depart Toronto, Pearson International Airport

Day 2 (Monday, Nov 10)
Arrive Cape Town, South Africa
Late evening arrival in Cape Town. Collect luggage and head to The President Hotel for check-in. Rest up for an exciting day ahead.

November 10-17 Cape Town (5 nights) & Hermanus (2 nights)

Cape Town, South Africa
Cape Town, known as ‘The Mother City,’ is Africa’s #1 tourist destination. This port city offers an eclectic mix of cultures, breathtaking scenery, and historical landmarks. We will be staying at The President Hotel in Bantry Bay, offering ocean views and one-bedroom suites.

Day 3 (Tuesday, Nov 11) Cape Town Highlights

  • Visit iconic Table Mountain via cable car.
  • Enjoy a packed lunch enroute to tour Robben Island
  • Check out a local supermarket for the heck of it, or to buy a few things.

Day 4 (Wednesday, Nov 12) Peninsula Tour

  • Explore Hout Bay and take a boat ride to Seal Island.
  • Drive through Chapmans Peak to Cape Point in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
  • Lunch at Kalk Bay.
  • Tour Newlands, Cape Town University, and Groote Schuur Hospital.

Day 5 (Thursday, Nov 13) Cultural and Shopping Day

  • Private tour at an exceptional handpainted fabric manufacturer.

Day 6 (Friday, Nov 14) Cape Winelands Tour

  • Breakfast and head out to Stellenbosch for wine tasting including J.C. Le Roux Estate
  • Scenic drive to Franschhoek for another wine tasting.
  • Lunch in the winelands.
  • Final wine tasting in Paarl.

Day 7 (Saturday, Nov 15) Depart for Hermanus

  • Early departure to Hermanus, a picturesque village on the Cape Whale Coast.
  • Private Cheetah Encounter at the Cheetah Outreach sanctuary.
  • Lunch at Pringle Bay for fish and chips at a local haunt.

Day 8 (Sunday, Nov 16) Free Day in Hermanus

  • Optional activities: shark cage diving, hiking, or additional wine tasting (arranged directly with Quality Touring Services).
  • Farewell Cape Town dinner. (It’s a secret!)

Day 9-12 (Monday, Nov 17 – Thursday, Nov 20) Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls Highlights

  • Fly from Cape Town to Victoria Falls.
  • Stay at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge with views of the watering hole.
  • Explore Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
  • Lunch and ‘Vulture Feeding’ Frenzy
  • Enjoy a Zambezi River dinner cruise.
  • Visit local markets and craft co-operatives.
  • Experience a close up and personal Elephant Encounter.
  • Dinner and Drums at the Boma Restaurant.

Day 12-16 (Thursday, Nov 20 – Monday, Nov 24) Kasane, Botswana (Chobe River)

Chobe River Safari Lodge

  • Travel by road from Zimbabwe to Botswana.
  • Stay at Chobe Safari Lodge with river views.
  • Sunset river cruise on Chobe River.
  • Early morning and evening game drives.
  • Private boat ride on Chobe River.
  • Special outdoor dinner at Sedudu on the banks of the river.
  • Option for 2 hour fishing, or Namibian Village Walk

Day 17 (Monday, Nov 24) Johannesburg, South Africa

Johannesburg Highlights

  • Fly from Kasane to Johannesburg.

  • Relax poolside or explore the gardens.

Day 18 (Tuesday, Nov 25)
Soweto Tour and Farewell Dinner

  • Driving tour through Soweto, visit Hector Peterson Memorial, Kliptown, and Mandela House.
  • Traditional Lunch on Vilakazi Street.
  • Visit Mandela House
  • Farewell African “braai” (BBQ) dinner.
  • Depart O.R. Tambo Johannesburg Airport at 00:15.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Canadian citizens travelling on a Canadian passport do not require an advance visa (we get them on arrival) to enter South Africa, Zimbabwe or Botswana.
  • All passports must be valid for AT LEAST 6 months after your return AND must have two blank pages side by side for South African Immigration.
  • Travel insurance is mandatory.
  • Signed travel/activities waiver is mandatory.
  • I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to obtain health clearance from a doctor to participate in this adventure, which includes walking and hiking. I confirm that I have full, unaided, and unrestricted mobility to participate independently in the tour.
