Greetings Safari Dreamers! My name is Karen Clegg.
I was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa and pride myself on being able share the hidden gems I’ve grown up with personally. Imagine how you feel when friends or family come to visit you in your country and how proud you are to show them around. Well that’s how excited I feel every time I design that special journey in Africa for people like you. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to share with you the very best of ‘my backyard’.
Living in Canada for the past 20+ years, I am privileged to have a rare, dual-perspective of both sides. The experience and expertise I bring that comes with growing up in Africa, working in the travel industry there and living in Canada, is a unique combination that to the best of my knowledge, you will not find anywhere else in North America. I understand how daunting it may feel about planning a bucket-list trip like this and I’ll take all the worry out, making it so seamless you’ll wonder why you ever had concerns.
My safari adventures are carefully designed to give you truly unforgettable and intimate experiences every day, based on places I know and love, people I trust and every place you lay your head is handpicked by myself. I’m not a ‘camper’ despite being a ‘safari girl raised in the bush’. I need my flush toilets, running water, hydro, good food and a bed that’s not on the floor always😊 I also travel with my small groups, so expect to be regaled with first-hand stories of wild or funny, (or wildly-funny) experiences, and of course my extensive network of bush-friends all over Africa enables me to secure the very best value.
Most importantly, when you travel with me you will be seen and heard leading up to your once-in-a-lifetime trip, and throughout it all, you’re dealing directly with me, from the first conversation to the moment you return home.
