No-one likes to have to buy insurance, but this trip is an investment and you should protect it.
Travel Insurance (a.ka. your “sleep well at night” plan)
I require all guests to have medical, trip cancellation, and trip interruption insurance before joining one of my adventures. Not because I expect anything to go wrong, but because peace of mind travels beautifully.
You’ll be in very good hands with me. I know this part of the world inside and out, and if a bump in the road appears, I’m exactly who you want nearby to sort it quickly and calmly. That said, Africa has its own rhythm and surprises, and a solid insurance policy is the quiet hero working behind the scenes to protect your investment.
You’re welcome to use any provider you like. Some credit cards even include coverage if you book your trip through them, so it’s worth a quick check before purchasing anything new.
If you’re curious, I personally use Manulife Travel Insurance and have included a link for convenience. It’s simply a starting point, not a strong opinion. Think of it as me giving you a helpful starting point, not insisting you take that road.
